What is Emergency Reconnect?
Emergency Reconnect is a feature that can help homeowner get reconnected to the internet when they get disconnected by connecting to the panel’s local wifi and connecting grid power to all of the panel circuits. This can be especially helpful in cases where the circuit with a home’s internet equipment may have been accidentally toggled off by a member of the household.
Depending on whether you have a SPAN Panel MAIN 32, a SPAN Panel MAIN 40, or a SPAN Panel MLO 48, how you access Emergency Reconnect will differ:
SPAN Panel MAIN 32: The feature can be accessed at any time in your Settings and depending on the situation, you may be directed to use it in a banner if your panel goes offline.
SPAN Panel MAIN 16, SPAN Panel MAIN 40, SPAN Panel MLO 24 or SPAN Panel MLO 48: If you become disconnected from the internet, an alert will pop up on the phone directing you to follow our Emergency Reconnect steps. Only through the alert will you be able to access and use the feature.

If your panel becomes disconnected from the internet, you’ll see the following alert on your SPAN Home App: “Your SPAN Panel is no longer connected to the internet” and you’ll be directed to click the “Steps to resolve” to troubleshoot the issue. Follow the prompts, which will direct you to “Reset all breaker to on” or to “Connect to SPAN Panel to setup wi-fi”, as needed. If neither of these steps are successful, you’ll be directed to reset the panel. |
