SPAN offers several different panels: SPAN Panel MAIN 16, SPAN Panel MLO 24, SPAN Panel MAIN 32, SPAN Panel MAIN 40, and SPAN Panel MLO 48. If you are uncertain which panel you own, you can generally determine this based on the number of breaker slot spaces in the panel, the panel serial number, or the number of breaker slots in the SPAN Home App.
SPAN Panel MAIN 32
Physical Identification
This panel has 32 breaker slots in the physical panel, which can be seen by opening the panel door. You’ll also find a label with a QR code and a serial number (will be on the inside door or upper left-hand corner of the panel) that either reads NJ-XXXX-XXXXX or NT-XXXX-XXXXX:
Home App Identification
You can also verify this information in the SPAN Home App. If you click “Circuits” followed by “In Panel” and scroll to the very bottom of the screen, you’ll see a total of 32 breaker spaces:
You can also go to “Settings” and then “All Settings” and scroll down to “Software and Serials” and you’ll see the serial number listed there as well, starting with NT or NJ, as stated above.
SPAN Panel MAIN 16/40 & SPAN Panel MLO 24/48
Physical Identification
When the panel door is open, you'll be able to identify which SPAN Panel you have by counting the number of breaker slots in the panel (40 slots means you have a SPAN Panel MAIN 40) and by looking at the sticker that appears at the base of the breaker slotsm will say the panel name. In this example, the panel is a “SPAN Panel MAIN 40.”
Note: You’ll also see a secondary label, titled SPAN Panel Controller, with a serial number that reads: XG-XXXX-XXXXX.
Home App Identification
You can also verify which panel you have via the SPAN Home App. If you click “Controls” followed by “Panel control” and scroll to the very bottom of the screen. You’ll see that even if you have empty breaker spaces, you can determine which panel you have (40 in this case):
You can also click the gear symbol in the upper right corner of the “Home“ screen to be brought to “Settings“ and then click “Device serial and version.” You’ll also see the panel serial number listed here, starting with XG.
