Downloading Energy Usage Data

What data can I download from the app?

Through the SPAN Home App, homeowners can download their energy usage data for the following: 

  • Total Home
  • Grid 
  • Solar 
  • Battery 
  • Individual Circuit

Data can be downloaded for a single Day, Week, Month, or Year and will be presented with the following granularity:

  • Day - 10 minute increments
  • Week - 1 hour increments
  • Month - 4 hour increments
  • 1 Year - 2 day increments

How do I download my data?

  1. Open your SPAN Home App and go to either “Circuits” or “Stats.”
    • Circuits - get energy usage for an individual circuit.
    • Stats -  get energy for total home usage, grid, solar, or battery.
  2. For Stats only: Choose which type of energy usage you’d like to view:
    • Total Home Energy
    • Grid Energy
    • Solar Energy
    • Battery Energy
  3. Choose what type of time period you would like to view: 
    • Day 
    • Week
    • Month
    • Year
  4. Scroll down and choose “View History.”
  5. If needed, scroll to the specific time you’d like to view. You can see past data as well as present by using the arrow buttons on either side of the date range provided (as shown in the image).
  6. Choose “Download Data.”
  7. Choose whether you’d like it downloaded directly onto your mobile device or if you would like to share it (text it, email it, etc). The data will immediately download.

Can I customize the data I download? 

At this time, there isn’t an option to customize the data you download through the app other than what is discussed in this article, here

What information will be included in the data?

The data provided will be in kWh and will be the total energy consumption from the chosen time period. 

Why is my data download missing data? 

If you notice certain time increments are missing from your data download, this means SPAN was offline (the internet connection was not stable) and was unable to record during that period.

Having trouble with your data download?

If you’re having trouble with a data download or are not seeing the option to download in your app, make sure you have the most up to date app.
